Student Attendance

How to consult attendance in the Summary?
After the summary of a lesson has been released, the teacher can consult the respective attendance log.
- Open a browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera…)
- Navigate to https://fenix.iscte-iul.pt/
- Go to the “Login Page” tab.
- Authenticate using iscte account credentials (e.g. xxnes@iscte-iul.pt and password).
- Go to the “Teaching” tab.
- Select the “Execution Period“.
- Follow the link with the name of the “UC“.
- Choose the “Summaries” option from the left side menu.
- Follow the “Assistance“ link.
Class Assistance
On the “Class assistance” screen, the teacher can:
- See information about in class

- Consult the attendance log in class
- Number of students indicated by the teacher when filling out the abstract.
- Number of students who reported their presence in class by passing the student card on the RFID reader and the system detected.
- Number of students who reported their presence in class passing the student’s card in the RFID reader and the teacher confirmed.
- Update Automatic Assistance
- The “Update Automatic Assistance” button allows you to obtain the attendances marked by students who were not yet processed when the teacher filled out the summary during the lesson.

- Search Students
- By “Type of Assitence” (Gifts in the | Uc entries and not present | All of them).
- By “Turn” (Same | Different | All of them).
- By “Course” (Allows you to restrict students by the course in which they are enrolled).
- For “Student Number.”
- For “Student Name.”
In the example below, Phoenix returns the list of students:

- Present in class (marked with green color).
- Absent from class (marked with yellow color).
- Considered unconfirmed by the teacher (marked with red color).

In this écrã, the teacher can:
- Mark the student’s presence as “Unconfirmed” by following their link.
Cause: Despite the system registration, the student did not attend the class. - Add the presence of students who attended the class but whose registration does not exist in the system by selecting students and clicking the “Add Attendances” button.
Cause: Card reading error. - Delete changes made by clicking the “Clear changes made by teacher” button.
See the Student Attendance Report
The teacher can consult the attendance register of students enrolled in a particular UC.
- Open a browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera…)
- Navigate to https://fenix.iscte-iul.pt/
- Go to the “Login Page” tab.
- Authenticate using iscte account credentials (e.g. xxnes@iscte-iul.pt and password).
- Go to the “Teaching” tab.
- Select the “Execution Period“.
- Follow the link with the name of the “UC“.
- Choose the “Attendance Report” option from the left side menu.

Student Attendance Report
The Student Attendance Report presents:
- The date the report is created
- The list of all students enrolled in uc
For each student is presented- Photo
- Student number
- Student name
- Number of attendances marked in the system for each type of shift in classes taught and with assigned summary
In this écrã, the teacher has the possibility of:
- Export the information to an Excel-format file
- See the detailed information of each student’s attendance

How to consult the detail of the attendance of a student?
To consult the detailed information of the attendance of a student enrolled in a particular UC, the teacher must:
- Open a browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera…)
- Navigate to https://fenix.iscte-iul.pt/
- Go to the “Login Page” tab.
- Authenticate using iscte account credentials (e.g. xxnes@iscte-iul.pt and password).
- Go to the “Teaching” tab.
- Select the “Execution Period“.
- Follow the link with the name of the “UC“.
- Choose the “Attendance Report” option from the left side menu.
- Select the link with the “number of attendances” for the desired turn.
Detail of a Student’s Attendance
The detail of the student’s attendance presents:
- The date the report is created.
- The student number.
- The student’s name.
- The detail of all the classes in which the student registered the presence.
