SIIC became aware of unsuccessful data collection attempts through telephone contact, in which callers identified themselves as Microsoft technical support.
This social engineering scheme, in the context of information security, refers to the attempt of psychological manipulation of people to perform actions, aiming at obtaining confidential information.
The SIIC team never and at any time requests data of this nature.
In this way, we clarify that:
- these telephone contacts do not originate from our services;
- we never ask for personal and sensitive data, such as credentials or access passwords, either by email or by phone or in person.
If in doubt, please contact us.
