IBM SPSS Amos

After downloading IBM SPSS Amos, proceed according to the following steps.

1. Double-click on the compressed folder with the designation “AMOS_26.zip” (6) and select “Extract” (7) and then “Extract all” (8).
   
   

   
   
   

2. Select the location of the destination folder by clicking “Browse” (9) and clicking “Extract” (10).

   
   

3. Open the “AMOS_26” folder and run the “setup” file.
   

    

   

4. Click “Yes” under “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?“.
5. Validate the installation options according to the following sequence:
   • Select “Next“;

     

   • Under “License Agreement“, mark “I accept the terms in the license agreement” and click “Next“;
     
     
     

      

     

   • Under “Destination Folder“, click “Next“.
     
     
     

      

     

   • Under “Ready to Install the Program“, click “Install“.
     
     
     

      

     

   • Wait for the end of the installation process…;
     
     
     

      

     

   • Uncheck the checkbox “Start IBM SPSS Amos 26 now” and click “Finish“.
     
     
     

      

     

SIIC provides IBM Amos licenses through a service request on the Service Portal:

1. Go to https://iajuda.iscte-iul.pt/.
2. Authenticate using the SIIC credentials (e.g. xxnes@iscte-iul.pt and its password). 
3. Select the option “New Request“.
4. Choose the category “Aplicações/SPSS e Amos” and then Create Request in “Requisição de Licença Amos“. 
5. Fill in the questionnaire indicating the version you want (for example, IBM SPSS Statistics, version 29).
6. Within 48 working hours the respective license will be sent.

To activate IBM SPSS Amos, follow the following steps:

1. Run the application “IBM SPSS Amos 26 License Authorization Wizard” as administrator;
2. Click “Yes” under “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?“.
3. Select “Next“.
   
   
   
   
4. Select the 1st option “Authorized user license…” and then “Next“;
   
   
   
   
5. Enter the code provided by SIIC (IT services) in the “Enter Code” field and click “Next“.
   
   
   
   
6. Select “Next” to check licensing;
   
   
   
   Contact the SIIC in case you get an activation result other than the one shown in the figure above.
7. Select “Finish” to complete activation.
