Videocast is a service provided by FCCN (Fundação para a Computação Científica Nacional) that allows the live streaming of events over the internet. Here are some key features:

    • Live Streaming: Broadcast video, audio, and slides in real-time.
    • User Interaction: Includes options for chat and social media integration.
    • Access Control: Allows for password-protected access to streams.
    • Customization: Offers layout customization and automatic transcoding for mobile devices.
    • Statistics: Provides access statistics and real-time monitoring.

This service is widely used for institutional events, lectures, and workshops within the academic and scientific community.

 

    1. Access the Videocast platform in https://videocast.fccn.pt/
    2. Click the “Sign in” button.
    3. Select “Iscte“.
    4. Perform federated authentication (SSO) using the Credentials of the Iscte account (e.g., xxnes@iscte-iul.pt and its password) and by clicking “Login“.
    5. Accept the terms of use and click “Submit“.
