With the update of the new version of ZOOM, COLIBRI now allows the integration of third-party applications in its video conferences.  

ZOOM APPS are third-party applications that appear within your meeting that allow you to increase your interactivity in meetings.  

The goal is to facilitate users' access to productivity, wellness and entertainment software. 

With ZOOM APPS, you'll have a space on your screen, available to work collaboratively while you gather. 

We leave here some applications already tested by the FCCN team and ready to install in your ZOOM client.

Does cybersecurity have anything to do with me? Every day we have access to a vast set of information of a personal, institutional, banking, health, research, intellectual property, among others.

Are we safe in these steps of our daily life? Do you know that your role in cybersecurity is relevant?

#ProtegeOTeuCampus

The Iscte- Instituto Universitário de Lisboa has joined the initiative of "Cybersecurity Awareness" in Higher Education Institutions (IES), a collaborative project between the MetaRed Collaborative Network and the Cybersecurity Institute of Spain (INCIBE).

The #ProtegeOTeuCampus (https://www.metared.org/pt/ProtegeOTeuCampus.html) campaign is to raise awareness and inform academic communities of the risks and best practices in cybersecurity. It makes sense for young people to learn in university the best practices to act and defend themselves in this area.

Until October 23rd, the installation of videoconferencing systems in auditoriums and classrooms of Building II takes place.

This renewal will cover:

• The replacement of the analog projection infrastructure (VGA) with a digital infrastructure (HDMI), with the elimination of the VGA switch;
• The replacement of the usb webcam (placed on the teacher's desk) by cameras, with omnidirectional microphone (placed on the ceiling of the room);
• The placement of two sound speakers in all classrooms.

These spaces will thus be properly prepared for classes and other events in a hybrid environment, i.e., with face-to-face and remote participants.

In classrooms, the computer (desktop or laptop) connection to video projection and video conferencing systems is ensured by a single USB 3.0 cable.

In auditoriums, the connection of the computer (room desktop or laptop) to the video projection system is ensured by an HDMI cable and the connection to the video conferencing system is ensured by a USB 3.0 cable.

In auditoriums, video projection and video conferencing systems use their sound system (microphones, amplifier and auditorium speakers).

In each classroom/auditorium there will be a control system that will allow:

1. Connect | Turn off the video projector;
2. Connect | Turn off the ca-camera;
3. Control the volume of the audio;
4. Choose one of the four presets.

On February 1, 2021, Microsoft replaces the basic authentication system with a more secure model: OAuth2.0. This change affects email services such as: Gmail, Thunderbird, Mail Mac, Outlook, among others.

E-mail accounts with settings made for IMAP/POP, through the old template, will no longer communicate making it necessary to reconfigure them to Exchange.

For attendance outside this time window, teachers should contact the SIIC through the usual channels.
